NPI Numbers

This is a reminder that all Part A providers should be using their NPI’s on all claims sent to Preferred Care Partners, as of January 1, 2008.

Part B providers should have begun using their NPI’s on all claims sent to Preferred Care Partners, as of March 1, 2008.

Claims without NPI present or incorrect NPI may be rejected, until May 23, 2008.

Beginning on May 23rd, 2008, all claims without NPI or incorrect NPI will be rejected.

Remember it is your responsibility to make sure your NPI is correct in CMS’ database before submitting your claims to Preferred Care Partners, as we will be validating NPI against CMS’ database.
